v
What we think, we become.
v
Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest
wealth, faithfulness the best relationship.
v
Do not dwell in the past; do not dream of the future,
concentrate the mind on the present moment.
v
No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may.
We ourselves must walk the path.
v
Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon,
and the truth.
v
Without health life is not life; it is only a state of
languor and suffering - an image of death.
v
We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think.
When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.
v
I never see what has been done; I only see what remains
to be done.
v
Just as a candle cannot burn without fire, men cannot
live without a spiritual life.
v
It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand
battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels
or by demons, heaven or hell.
v
Work out your own salvation. Do not depend on others.
v
There are only two mistakes one can make along the road
to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.
v You will not be punished for your anger;
you will be punished by your anger.
v Do not dwell in the past; do not dream
of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.
v Holding on to anger is like grasping a
hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who
gets burned.
v No one saves us but ourselves. No one
can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.
v Thousands of candles can be lighted
from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened.
Happiness never decreases by being shared.
v You, yourself, as much as anybody in
the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.
v We are shaped by our thoughts; we
become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that
never leaves.
v Peace comes from within. Do not seek
it without.
v The mind is everything. What you think
you become.
